The Morris Peterson foundation looks to give back to underprivileged youth in both New Orleans and Mo’s hometown of Flint, Michigan. Together with his sister Tonda Peterson, they strive to make a positive impact on there respective communities.
Adding on the the positive energy for Christmas, Morris Peterson of the New Orleans Hornets, hosted his 2nd annual Toy Drive benefiting the Morris Peterson Foundation on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 2:00 – 4:00pm. The event took place at the Desire Street Youth Center in Peterson’s hometown of New Orleans, giving away toys to children who face economic hard times and wanted to doing something special to give them happy smiles.
